stage fright

For those that know me, you'd know that speaking in public rarely scares me. I mean, after all, it is a silly notion given what I do for a living. I mean, it's not like I am so absolutely confident each time I address a crowd- I do get the usual butterflies and nervous pangs but it's usually under control and its not that big a deal on my system.

This time, i'm actually nervous. As in, right-in-my-bones kind of nervous. People keep saying, "Oh, you'd do well!" and stuff: thanks for the vote of confidence but I'm still pretty much staring at a blank piece of paper that is supposed to be way filled with stuff I'm to talk about tomorrow. In fact, I should have, by now, have my speech down to pat and what not. And the Rapster says I "work brilliantly under pressure."

Oh for the cries of confidence.... I feel I'm wearing shoes two sizes too big today.

Maybe they'll fit better after I've had some nutella.

how can anyone not know what nutella is?!

it's the essential pms/bad-mood/fight-with-boyfriend/break up food.

(ok, as for break up food, i guess only for me cos rie and ruben have been dating for centuries; and
    an(n)drew is too young)

    an always-have-in-the-fridge in this house

that keeps everyone from tearing out flesh when pms-ing.

hi! this is kinda funny - i'm kenneth's friend. and i heard you speak at yesterday's forum. *grin* couldn't quite believe you were the same girl (was comparing what you looked like to the photograph of you and the cello) and then i decided you were, and i thought "how cool!"

just wanted to say that i liked your speech the most. you were the voice of reason, haha. (yeah you even beat mr chiam, and he's very charming. ;))

    dear elisa,

haha... oh man, how did you get to see the cello picture, I still can't believe I let neth talk me into posing with the cello... it was a riot. :)

You should have come said hi yesterday. I had a whale of a time myself; it was rather fun, being seated next to mr chiam somemore...

Thanks for the vote of confidence..

    cheers!
